If you’re considering artificial turf for your backyard, follow these steps and gather the necessary supplies:

• Measure your backyard and order your Lifeproof with Petproof Technology Premium Pet Turf from The Home Depot.
• Prepare the area by digging down 3-4 inches and ensuring proper drainage with good grading.
• Hand tamp the soil to prepare for the sub-base.
• Lay a weed barrier and cover it with a sub-base of finely ground stone, such as decomposed granite or crushed rock. Hand tamp and water the sub-base to ensure an even surface.
• Allow the turf to acclimate in the sun before laying it down and making precise cuts.
• Trim excess turf and secure it using 6-inch galvanized nails. Remember to position the turf blades correctly before nailing.
• Brush the turf blades and apply infill using a sweeper or outdoor broom.
