Why I named my Limited Edition Lipstick Collection with affirmations

It’s finally here! The big reveal of my Summer 18′ Limited Edition Lipstick collection with LIPP. This is definitely a dream come true for me to have a collaboration like this! So of course I had to make it more than just lipstick. I want this collection to not only showcase the two beautiful colors that LIPP and I created, but I also want to bring positivity to it. So what better way to do so, than through the names that I give it. I decided to name the nude golden peachy color “I Am Golden” and the matte vibrant deep pink color “I Am Rare”. I did this because it forces a woman to say something nice about herself whenever someone asks her “What lip color are you wearing?”

I AM GOLDEN

I chose the word golden because it’s not a word we typically use to describe ourselves. Though it’s just one word, it’s loaded with so much meaning. So what does it mean to be golden? When you think about the word golden, words like special, valuable, wonderful, beautiful, favorable, glorious, or precious come to mind. So every time you call yourself golden, you’re affirming yourself of these things. These are things that we often forget that we are, and therefore make choices in life that don’t reflect the golden nature of our being. You ARE golden, and deserve to be seen and treated by others that way. But not just by others, also by YOU. You must know and believe for yourself that you are golden: fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalms 139:14). So if you haven’t told yourself this, repeat after me: I AM GOLDEN!

I AM RARE

Now the word “rare” isn’t used everyday, let alone about ourselves. The word of God says…”Before you were born, I set you apart…” (Jeremiah 1:5). You are rare! There isn’t another one like you. When God creates, he creates masterpieces not duplicates. When you think of the word “rare”, here are some words that come to mind, uncommon, different, unique, extraordinary, scarce, distinguished and exceptional. This is all you! So believe it and speak it!

Even though this is makeup, there’s power in a name, and there’s power in the words that you speak. So speak spectacular things over your life, and about yourself. I pray this message and LIPP Collection helps you start thinking of yourself in the way God designed you. You are Rare and You are Golden…AND SO MUCH MORE!

The COLLECTION

LIPP and I created two limited edition summer 18′ lipstick colors. The first is “I am Golden.” It’s peachy golden color with a satin texture. It’s wearable by itself or with a soft brown lip liner. The second is “I am Rare.” It’s a vibrant deep pink color, with comfortable matte texture that won’t leave your lips feeling dry.
